Rally Espania tour
Our Rally Espana driving tour has been created to provide our guests with a memorable and exclusive opportunity to drive some stunning roads in the mountains and vineyards of Northern Spain. In addition to the fabulous driving roads, good quality luxury hotels situated in some fantastic locations along the route are included in the tour.
We usually recommend taking the ferry to/from Spain. We typically use Brittany Ferries; time aboard giving everyone the opportunity to unwind and get to know each other.
PICOS EUROPA, CANTABRIAN MOUNTAINS, ASTERIAS
From our arrival point at Santander we make our way south into the spectacular Picos Europa Montains stopping 2 nights in the 5 star Pueblo Astur resort. We head to the Cantabrian Mountains to explore the stunning roads and scenery. The next day we weave our way through amazing mountain passes, gorges and valleys onward to the lovely Asturias town of Canga del Narcea and the fabulous Parador de Corias hotel. The next day more beautiful roads take us east through the mountains to the 5 star Monasterio de Valbuena with 2000sqm spa, restaurant, thermal pools and private garden; our home for the next 2 nights.
BASQUE & RIOJA COUNTRY, VALBUENA AND ALAVA
With options to drive into the Sierra De Guadarrama taking in passes up to 1,778 metres, the following day we go onto the Sierra de la Demanda mountain range. Here we are offered simply breath-taking scenery before descending into the Rioja region for our next stop. The next day we can relax or head south into the Sierra de Urbassa which highlights the Puertos de Herrara, Azaceta and Urbassa. We can then leave early the following day to head back to the ferry port taking the scenic route or relax at the hotel a little longer and take the quicker route.
Our package typically includes return ferry crossing (and cabin), 7 nights in 4-5 star hotel accommodation, breakfast every day and 4 evening meals, tour guide and full route book as well as pre-loaded Sat Nav’s.
