Famed for its stunning scenery and dramatic landscapes, Scotland also boasts some of the best driving roads in the World as well as excellent cuisine using local produce such as venison and locally sourced seafood. Now featuring the NC500, Scotland’s popularity has increased in recent years. Having run driving events in Scotland for over 15 years our itinerary is set up to incorporate the best roads and locations we know. Highlights include the Kielder Forest Park, Galloway Forest Park, The Borders, Dumfries and Galloway, Speyside, Perthshire, The Highlands, West Coast and the Isle of Skye.
We meet in the heart of the Peak District, descend Winnats Pass and head past the Ladybower Resevoir before pushing up into the Yorkshire Moors. Taking in the Kielder Forest excellent driving roads take us through the Borders and Galloway Forest Park past lochs and over serpentine roads through breath-taking countryside.
Bypassing Edinburgh into Perthshire, favourite routes through Speyside see us passing Balmoral and the ski resorts of Glenshee and Lecht on our way to Aberdeenshire. Skirting Inverness we head inland over exceptional roads through to the centre of the Highlands and onward to the magnificent North West coast. Over some wonderful flowing roads our route passes Loch Maree before heading onto behold the spectacular scenery provided on the Isle of Skye. Passing Fort William as we weave our way back south through the Highlands, more amazing roads include a fabulous loop around Loch Leven before heading over Rannoch Moor (think ‘Skyfall’).
Throughout you will enjoy Bed & Breakfast in a wonderful range of characterful, good quality 4 star hotels and as well being looked after by a professional guide you will have all have complimentary use of pre-loaded Garmin Sat Nav’s and our printed guide book providing both itinerary and route directions.
