Standing astride the River Douro, one end you’re in Spain, the other end you’re in Portugal. Cool heh? This was just one of the many dramatic viewpoints taken in on this nine day Iberian tour. Arriving by Ferry in Santander and staying in a number of simply fantastic hotels en route, we covered spectacular roads with breath-taking scenery as we made our way up and over the Cantabrian mountains and through the Douro Valley. We then headed across to the Sierra de la Demanda and on into the Rioja wine region. What a wonderful way to spend late autumn days in the sunshine.
