Fighting and surviving WW11 flying Lysanders and famed for his colourful and extrovert personality, Duncan Hamilton [pictured here with ’53 Le Mans co-driver Tony Rolt] drove F1 cars in the very early 50’s and went on to win Le Mans for Jaguar in 1953. En-route he also became internationally recognised for being one of the most respected and well-connected specialists in classic cars.
