By winning the British Grand Prix this weekend, Lewis Hamilton brought it home for England to the delight of the 140,000 strong crowd.
Although the race was not without controversy due to the swift 140mph exit of Max Verstappen on the first lap, Lewis Hamilton won his 8th British Grand Prix to keep his championship hopes alive. Overcoming a 10 second penalty for the first lap collision with Max, Lewis managed to pass the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc to take the lead just 3 laps from the end. Run in front of a capacity 140,000 crowd this drama filled British Grand Prix marked the largest spectator audience held in the UK since pre-COVID times.
